Scattered showers and storms affected southeast Kansas during the
overnight hours. Predawn temperatures were in the 50s and 60s with
light winds.

The upper level weather system that brought thunderstorms to
eastern sections of Kansas and Nebraska yesterday will move slowly
northward into South Dakota today. Meanwhile a second upper level
system over New Mexico will move slowly northeast across eastern
sections of the state today. Scattered to numerous showers and 
storms will be possible over mainly northern Nebraska and Oklahoma
today, with lower chances expected over much of Kansas. Daytime 
highs will range from the 60s in the Nebraska panhandle, to the warmer
mid 80s in southeast Kansas.

The upper level system will continue to drift northward across
eastern New Mexico for tonight, with showers and storms gradually
spreading northward from Oklahoma into southern Kansas. Overnight
lows will range from the 50s in Nebraska, to the mid 60s in eastern
Oklahoma.
